At our school, we believe in the importance of pupil participation and fostering a strong pupil voice. We are committed to creating a learning environment that values and respects the views of all members of the school community, including pupils. Our strategy focuses on empowering learners to learn, grow, and lead with boundless potential while promoting inclusivity, ethical values, and resilience. We aim to cultivate ethical, informed citizens who make positive contributions to society and embrace challenges with courage and creativity.

Championing Environmental Sustainability
At our school, we are deeply committed to environmental sustainability and empowering our pupils to become responsible global citizens. To achieve this, we have joined Eco-Schools, a worldwide initiative led by Keep Wales Tidy. This provides a framework for schools to engage pupils in sustainable practices, environmental education, and active citizenship.

Rights Respecting Schools: Empowering pupils with
a Culture of Dignity and Respect
At our school, we believe that every child has the right to be respected, valued, and heard. To uphold the rights of children and young people, we are committed to becoming a Rights Respecting School, following the principles set forth by UNICEF.
This initiative is grounded in the belief that every member of the school community, including pupils, staff members, and parents, has a role to play in promoting dignity, equality, and a culture of respect.

LEAD
We will integrate human rights education into our curriculum to ensure that pupils understand their rights and the rights of others. Through age-appropriate discussions and activities, we will foster a sense of empathy, compassion, and global citizenship.
As a Rights Respecting School, we will nurture the social and emotional growth of our pupils by creating a safe and inclusive environment. We will actively promote positive relationships, conflict resolution skills, and emotional intelligence to empower pupils to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Our pupils will be encouraged to become leaders of positive change within the school community and beyond. We will provide opportunities for pupils to take on leadership roles, where they can actively participate in decision-making processes and contribute to initiatives that uphold the rights and well-being of all.
